At M Arch he a number of inner city projects as part of the rejuvenation of Johannesburg CBD and South Africa's capital city Tshwane.
Fanuel's architectural philosophy focuses on a design approach that is culture receptive through the concept of Botho/Ubuntu. This concept is 'said to reflect a deep rooted African maxim, "A person is a person through other persons" - "Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu".'David Olivier, Faith and Earthkeeping, 1988). Fanuel Belongs to a school of thought which identifies the need for more culture-inclusive design philosophy, aimed at addressing the culture-exclusive doctrines and practices of built environment professions in South Africa.
Motsepe
Architects is rooted in the architectural
philosophy of Botho/Ubuntu, the spirit of family - hood, coupled with
the knowledge and experience gained in the architecture as theorized
and practiced in Africa and the international world.
